James Roldan, MD—known to his patients as Dr. James—is a board-certified family physician and the founder of Artist MD in Boca Raton.
He earned his MD at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed his residency through Florida State University College of Medicine at Lee Health.
Before pursuing medicine, Dr. James earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Health Management and Policy from the University of Miami.
His background also includes extensive aesthetic training in both the United States and Brazil, as well as research in the nutraceutical industry in Rehovot, Israel. These experiences inform his evidence-based, highly personalized approach to aesthetics, wellness, and concierge care.

Dr. James’s commitment to patient care extends to advocacy and public health education. He received the 2026 AFMRD Outstanding Resident for Advocacy Award following his participation in patient and physician advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. During residency, he also received the Lee Health Patient Care Puzzle Award (2024) and Outstanding Resident for OB/GYN Award (2024).
He serves as a Portuguese-speaking medical contributor for Record TV Américas, helping make health information accessible to the Brazilian community.

A South Florida native of Chilean and Brazilian heritage, Dr. James has a lifelong interest in languages and cultures. He lived in Germany through the U.S. State Department’s prestigious CBYX program and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German.
Music and filmmaking are an important part of his life, with creative projects taking him across the United States and around the world. His faith inspires him to use the gifts God has given him to create and care for others.
